Vegetarian Delights in Brighton
Friday, 06 June 2008

I have been to Food for Friends in Brighton on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is varied, well presented and exceedingly tasty. You may first be fooled by what appears to be a small portion size but guaranteed you will struggle to clear your plate. The wine choice is great with nothing too expensive. It is also the only restaurant I will ever eat dessert in as they all appear be delicious but also appear to be healthy!

Being a Brighton resident my only criticism is that it does not prompt you to go back very often as they do not change the menu enough. As there is not a great choice of vegetarian restaurants in Brighton it would be good for locals to have more of a menu variety but even that won’t stop me going back.

Pizza at Pinocchio's, Brighton
Friday, 06 June 2008

Pinocchio's Italian restaurant is hard to miss, placed right in the middle of Brighton town centre, close to the North Laine, the Library, and the Pavillion, and it always looks like an attractive place to eat. It has some fierce competition from the likes of Pizza Express practically on its doorstep, but if you are after a really cheap place to get a good lunch, try the £3.00 pizzas on a weekday lunchtime, which - whilst are quite basic and a bit smaller than you might hope for, are pretty impossible to complain about at that price. Most of the menu in fact is quite affordable - I went for a pizza somewhere in the £6 range and was pretty happy with it, though the service was a little slow even though the restaurant was not full. Worth a try for a good discount lunch.

Remember you can use your Midweek Dining Club card at Pinochio's and get a further 10% off the bill, plus a free glass of Tio Pepe with your order... not bad going combined with their generally lower priced menu.

Rajdhani Indian, Milton Keynes
Friday, 06 June 2008

Thoroughly enjoyable meal at this great Milton Keynes Indian. Impressively extravagant place to eat, with a beautiful ornamental rickshaw outside, and super polite / helpful service. Good quality food and generally a reasonable price. Some heavy competition for this restaurant from the Jaipur (huge white palace-like structure) down the road, but definitely worth a try. Extremely close to Milton Keynes Station (both Rail and Bus) too, meaning its easy to get home if you've had a couple of drinks.

Don't forget to grab your 10% off here thanks to your Midweek Dining Club membership.
