General Information:
This restaurant has been awarded an Observer Food Award 2007 and seats 74 diners inside and 20 outside. Special dietary requirements are catered for.

After it first opened in 1981 Food For Friends quickly established itself as one of Brighton's best loved counter service restaurants. Twenty-three years later we took on the challenge of bringing this restaurant into the 21st century without compromising its well earned reputation for inspirational, imaginative and delicious food. Its total refurbishment in February 2005 has created a relaxed but elegant, table service restaurant in which we continue to provide gourmet vegetarian food, cooked to order, using local produce and increasingly organic and fair-trade produce.

Our menu this season has many global influences which range from chrysanthemum hummus to warm haloumi fresh mango and avocado salad, and from tempura maki to poached Sussex pears. The menu not only contains a majority of vegan and gluten-free dishes, but a wide range of low fat options for those of you looking for the really healthy options. We can assure you that all of the flavour, texture and presentation are still there.
