Situated in the George Street Cultural Quarter of St Helens, Le Frog is a welcome addition to the area's dining landscape. The restaurant is housed in a building that will delight fans of architecture, but still lends the feeling of intimacy and joie de vivre that you would expect from a French-style bistro. The food follows this philosophy, combing the best of British and Mediterranean cuisine to great dishes such as smoked duck with a roast plum salad and seared tuna steaks with a lime salsa. The wine list is extensive without being imposing and, at an average of £30 per head for three courses Le Frog offers great value for money.
